All of our pieces are hallmarked at the London Assay Office as an independent test and guarantee of the purity of the precious metal. The Assay Office is part of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths which has been responsible for testing the quality of gold and silver since 1327.
Each hallmark is made up of a series of marks:
• the Eva London hallmark: ‘EAJ’
• the metal and fineness (purity) symbol and mark
• the Assay Office mark
• the date mark indicating the year the piece was made
