<p>According to Annie Proulx (in the Guardian): &#8220;In his hands wood seems fabric, as malleable as gold, black as Indian hair, a carbuncled lump. Trees are sliced and inclined, chunks needled, paginated, riddled, elbowed, pierced, incised, long bolts frittered and hollowed, geometrics waffled.&#8221;</p>
